Cape weed

Arctotheca calendula is such a pretty little thing, unfortunately it grows so well it is declared a noxious weed in some countries and invades the lawns and paddocks everywhere in spring. Sometimes you see whole paddocks full of it. We used to call it "wet the bed" but I am not sure why. I noticed this at lunch time at home, by the time I get home at night the flowers have closed up and the lawn look green again.
