And so it begins...

For some reason the Kings Course and Queen's Course at Gleneagles are a bit on the quiet side today. Apparently there's a friendly wee tournament being played on the PGA Centenary Course.


The alarm went off before 7am and Kenny and David were downstairs just after that to see the start of the Ryder Cup. It would have been difficult to sleep much later anyway as the noise of the helicopters is pretty loud! It's quite bizarre to watch the aerial shots of the golf course whilst being able to hear and the helicopters circling above, filming what you are watching!

Needless to say we've not wandered far from the telly.

Ryder Cup story of the day - Tesco delivery man told me that he'd gone to deliver to a house further up the street to be told they'd had a man (media apparently) knock on their door yesterday and offer them £250,000 (yes you read that right, quarter of a million quid!) to rent their house for the week!! They were hurriedly packing! How mental is that?!!!! Oh if only they'd come a few doors along!!! ;-)))

David, Ele and Kenny have popped across to the viewing area at Auchterarder Golf Club for an hour, then we're heading into the town for a bite to eat before heading back to Auchterarder GC for a night of entertainment with a band of some sort. Should be a laugh :)))

Wonder if Martin Kaymer *swoon* fancies joining us :D
