Studley Royal

Up with the Lark today (not seen 6am for a long time!!) to go to Studley Royal Deer Park. Turns out I was a little early in the rutting season. The real fights start later in the year. This young stag did have a brief skirmish with another young stag, more heard than seen. Stalking the deer for a close up shot was difficult because the pheasants warned them of my presence, so although maybe not photographically correct this shot summed up the morning somehow.
