St Mary's Church - Risca

Although I had Monday off this week has gone on forever - maybe because it is getting close to holiday time - I don't know 0 anyway finished work at 6 and then drove home thinking of what to blip -in the end decided on one of Risca's many churches.

Suspected site of Romano-British shrine. Earliest records of what was St Michaels Church are from the 12th Century. Present church re-erected in 1853. Remains of a base of a preaching cross in the graveyard. An Elizabethan Chalice is in safe keeping.
