Making moats and memories...

Some weeks you limp your way to Friday and by the time work has finished with you all that is left are the mummy dregs. Some weeks the children are crawling their way to Friday and all that is left are the bickers and squabbles in the car as you race home to start tea.

Maybe it's the sunshine on a September afternoon or because they had a slightly earlier finish, I don't know and it doesn't matter. This afternoon we kicked off with a wee hour in soft play (I had a voucher to use up and it gave me a chance for a late lunch and snack for them), then recharged we hit the beach for some moat building and sandy art then off for a McDonalds (the odd one won't kill them) and finishing with the country park for a monster conker haul.

Home, bed, bath to wash away the sandy bits, happy mum, happy kids :-)))
