"When the hole in your shoe lets the snow come through"

Busy day but don't really remember what I did except dodge bees. Angie after riding had gone to the vets in Memmingen to have Luna pre-checked for castration. Should have done it when she was very young but somehow..... Turned out she could have avoided the trip had she been asked a few questions on the phone. So know have to wait until Luna is next in heat.

On the upside, Angie got me a wood drill bit I needed for the bees and a "quick to cook" evening meal, both of us getting in after it was dark. Sitting back after dinner, occured to me, I hadn't Bliped all day, so Angie's other purchase came to the rescue.

In the last floods realised both pairs of wellingtons had holes in one boot. Since then have been walking around with one black & one green boot. Angie had luckily seen Lidl had winter wellies on offer this week and grapped me a pair. Probably not the best for real cold or deep floods but certainly an improvement on the current situation if I have to go out in public in wellies.

(Last week trying to explain the term "Wellies" or more properly "Wellington Boot" to MrB, experienced one of those many difficulties with the English language. Using Google & Wiki on the mobile phone, first had a problem when I read they were made of leather and hessian. I stuttered trying to find an explanation as to why hessian until I made the text bigger and saw it refered to the "Hessian" (ie State in Germany around Frankfurt) style of military boot. Then on looking at a commentary on the brand of "Hunter" boots saw the comment "....thought I would push the boat out". Mr B naturally thought it was from a sailor and didn't know of the monetary connection.)
