Day of recovery
I kept all 3 home today. They weren't well enough to go anywhere.
Marleys tummy bug is still around and had a few trips to the bathroom. He's lost his appetite and he's pretty tired.
Kanye is getting better, still really chesty and coughing a lot but it's coming away now, went through a box of tissues on his wee nose today.
Harper didn't sleep well, he was stuffed up and struggled to feed and breathe. He's more chesty today.
So, with that, with them all being tired and sick i decided to do a few activities with them that didn't involve a lot of energy.
Andre was working overtime at home today so couldn't help too much, he was answering a lot of calls.
The first one i did was coloured pasta, they sat on the floor and drove their cars through it. It's a great sensory activity.
They sat for a while then harper decided to get in and play, he really enjoyed pushing his hands through it and enjoyed it more when I took his socks off for him to feel it with his feet.
The next activity I did was large cardboard tube taped to the window. I bought some large pom poms and they spent nearly half hour posting them. This was great quiet activity but kept them entertained for longer than I thought it would.
Late morning Marley wanted to help with gardening. I had promised him all week we'd plant sunflower seeds and though I said I thought we should wait until he was better he insisted that we plant them.
The afternoon the boys spent watching tv on the couch. At one point we set up their race car track but they played for less than 10 minutes before returning to lying down. Better to let them rest. I have the whole holidays to do stuff with them.
This afternoon my friend popped by with the bibs she made that i bought. They are amazing. I blipped not long ago about the ones she made for Kanye, these ones are for harper. He was wearing a blue sailor chain one when I took this pic. They are so soft and catch all the dribble. They hold a lot of wetness. Kanyes tops have been dry since I bought his.
So excited to put these gorgeous bibs on harper.
Had an early dinner and gave the boys hot showers again then put them in warm pj's.
Another quiet day tomorrow i think. I miss my energetic, happy, smiley boys. I feel for them being unwell.
