Still waters

There is a feel of autumn in the air. The leaves are turning quickly in the park. I put my coat on to go out to the market, it was so chilly, but as soon as the sun came over the mountain, I was stripping off layers. We have friends coming for a meal so I went to buy the butternut squash for the soup and the squid and tuna for the main course while Mrs TT made the meringue for the strawberry pavlova. I haven't decided whether to do the squid simply just with lemon and parsley or whether to stuff them with some of the tasty tomato passata made from the glut of tomatoes the neighbours have left us. I think I got the better deal as it was a lovely morning for coffee in the square.
