Dying Hornet........

We have been watching these beautiful creatures going back and forth to their nest, which has been made in the rafters of the barn. As the weather is beginning to turn autumnal, the colony has started to disperse and the hornets will die. I had hoped to be able to take a shot of one but they are far too rapid and I certainly wasn't going to climb up to their nest, even in the cause of a daily blip! This morning one lay dying hence its less than perfect state so a shot was achieved!
