Still Life

It's been a poor week photographically. Mostly wiped out by flu, I finally managed to take a few hours off yesterday afternoon, slept and felt better for it. With a good sunset in promise, I dragged myself out for a shoot, but that turned into a farce with no shots taken at all.
Eating breakfast this morning, I decided some still life shots would be a good idea. The light was grey and flat, but have still life shots always been this boring (this is the best of a few dozen), or is it my flu-jaded eyes/brain?
Tomorrow will be a better day. Law of averages.
