Down South
On the final day of our holiday we headed to St Michael's Mount which was all the way back down South near Penzance.
This little island has a castle at the top and a causeway out towards it which is closed as the sea tends to come over the causeway when the tide is in cutting the island off and making it accessible only by boat.
The castle at the top is pretty awesome and the views were so gorgeous. After doing the castle we headed around the gardens which again, were so beautiful to wander around even if the wandering was mostly up and down hills and steep inclines.
As we walked back across the causeway you could see the sea already start to cover it and we stood watching as within 20 mins it was not passable by foot.
We found this secluded little beach on our way to Lizard Point which again was a lot of steep inclines to get to or rather back from but the view and scenery was worth the effort. The last stop was Lizard Point which is the UK's most Southerly point. So that is now the East, West and South done. Next stop John O'Groats.
The last evening was enjoying some Prosecco and watching silly Friday night TV. It is always kind of bitter sweet at the fact we were keen to get home to the cats but sad also that the holiday is over and Monday brings the dreaded W word.....WORK!
