The Albion
One of our two village hostelries is called the Albion. It is very near the pier and has long connection with boating. In earlier centuries small coastal trading boats came up the River Kent from Morecambe Bay and called at Arnside on the way to the port of Milnthorpe.
It is appropriate that the outsides seating area at the Albion, which looks out on to the estuary, should use old boats to add interest to the surroundings.
