Mesmerised & Mesmerising
Today I met wee little lauren, an adorable bambini conceived by my old pal Jenny only two months ago. Last time I held someone so young I was really not that old myself, being only nine year of age when I first got to meet my Niece, who was coincidentally also named Lauren. Being so young, I was too preoccupied trying to work this world out for myself to appreciate how a baby might perceive it. Everything would seem so alien and mesmerising for a child so young, which when watched as an adult can leave you mesmerised yourself.
I was a bit anxious to hold such a tiny little person, but once she was sat in my arms she was completely captivating. Also a little humorous with her first expressions in reaction to new experiences. Jenny need to give her a little vitamin tablet which would naturally be citrus and zesty. When your diet consists solely of milk, this would unsurprisingly be a shock to the system and her face was priceless. She glanced to the side, into her mother's eyes with a face that spoke all the words she couldn't say herself - "Mummy, what is this? what have you done to me?!". She was a real cutey that expressed bags of character already. I know Jenny and Graeme are going to be amazing parents and I look forward to seeing what such a little child will grow up to be in the future.
