Medallion

This is a different one. I was asked by my brother to share a picture of this medallion in a Facebook group where a discussion about this particular item had taken place.

The accompanying story as I recall was that my father was given or awarded a gold version of this, which he particularly loved. However part of the chain loop broke and so I'm told, he took some tools and fashioned an entirely new one himself: the one featured here.

No fancy composition or anything, I just thought that was a nice story for the day and without giving too much away, a poignant subject for the moment.
