An evening in Birmingham

A very enjoyable evening in Birmingham with old friends. We ate at an Indian restaurant located on the edge of the Birmingham Canal Old Line, a pity we didn't discover this earlier as the food was wonderful. This shot was taken just before we went in. There are policemen everywhere and the Birmingham Conference area is closed - in preparation for the Tory conference next week. We then strolled along the canal to the Mailbox area taking in the lively ambiance and stayed for drinks in the Hippodrome area.

Its still sad saying goodbye, but we will have many reunions to come.
