Checking the levels

Went to a favourite local spot by this reservoir this morning but didn't go for a walk as it was dull and grey and I have been a bit short of energy today. I did see one of the juvenile Kestrels flying through the car park from tree to tree but it was too quick for a photo and i'm not that good with a camera.

The sailing club only seem active on certain days, not sure if this is by choice or all they are allowed by the water company. Anyway this bunch of young people were having a great time learning how to sail, they didn't seem at all bothered by the thought of falling in cold water - never seen the attraction myself.

The reason I used this picture instead of another of a young St Bernard dog gambolling in the river in the local park was to show how low the water level of the reservoir is at the moment. Also because even though I like dogs there do seem to be rather alot of pictures of dogs on here.

When out walking locally I often wonder if you are allowed out without at least one dog but preferably two! And lets not go into how few dog owners in the countryside actually pick up the mess. Sorry this has turned into a bit of a rant. Love dogs just not some owners.
