Forest
floor.
I'm beginning to worry about what I will blip each day . . . I need to chill.
There has been discussion on LibraryThing about 'floor' and 'ground'. A floor being a man-made structure. The ground being what one stands on outdoors. Awkward sentences . . . I think of the word floor used for ground as being non-U. I'm being judgmental here: there was one particular commentator during the Tour de France who, when a rider fell, said they were on the floor. It grated on my sensibilities every time I heard the phrase.
Then today I thought, but I refer to the forest floor . . . Full of contradictions I am.
