My day

Bearded iris

What a beautiful day! Mostly spent in the garden after we took the children home to their parents (6am wake up call). I did some cleaning behind the shed where I do my potting as there was a lot of rubbish fallen off the elm tree, twigs, possum poo etc. then I repotted anything that didn't escape and after lunch had a visit to the nursery. I purchased four more roses and some perennials and annuals for pots. How much fun can you have?

My new roses include; Chicago Peace, Mary MacKillop ( who is named after our only Aussie Saint), Brass Band and Princess Alexandra of Kent (a David Austin).

The others include Lobelia, pig face Mesembryanthemum, statice, silver bush ..convolvulus cneroum, laurentia, Erigeron, and alyssum. Some are tried and true and some are new.

I have poppies, iris, lavender, tulips happily flowering now the early bulbs are fading.
