Isle of Skye

This is a view of the Isle of Skye, taken from Applecross West Highlands. The Isle of Skye is in the Inner Hebrides. The Mountainous centre is dominated by the Cuillins. The Island has a long history most famous for the escape from the Battle field of Culloden of Bonnie Prince Charlie aided by Flora Macdonald. in 2001 a third of the population of Skye were Gaelic speakers.
