'Who lives in a House like this?'

Out for a walk this evening and came across this unusual sight. At first I guessed it was some sort of Fungi..but when enlarged it's brown Moss. About 3 inches in diameter.... is it just a Moss Ball???

I have an idea someone on Blip will be able to identify this for me. I was waiting for a little field mouse to pop out and say 'Hi'.

A busy morning in the garden..a rest from dashing around all day long! I hasten to add that I was working in the garden!
