Harvest Festival

Anna has been very excited about today. She was asked to read a poem at the harvest festival, jointly organised by the school and the village church. She did a super job and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. Jack also enjoyed himself but for different reasons - it was twenty minutes shorter than he was expecting and he got a cake and some juice afterwards! This made up for the surprise in the middle where all the children from the school were asked to come up and sing a couple of songs. I think he was asleep in assembly when they told him this was the deal.
