Julius Caesar

This morning I flew down to London to fulfil an ambition I've had for a while, since 1997 actually.

Since the Globe opened in London in 1997 I've always wanted to see Julius Caesar staged there. I absolutely love this play, so when I saw it was part of the 2014 season I booked a ticket straight away. That was months and months ago and I wasn't disappointed.

Anthony Howell's Cassius was first class, along with the rest of the cast. The only one I was slightly dubious about was Caesar himself, played by George Irving, but that was probably me!

After the play I had dinner at the Rooftop Cafe - overlooked by the Shard - fabulous day and only 17 years in the making.
