Wild hairdo

Aren't caterpillars just amazing looking creatures? We've been gardening today (in the hot summer sun at the end of September!) and we disturbed this little guy. He finally found his way to some foliage to hide in.

He's covered in a very distinctive pattern of hairs but also had a few really thick tufts in a Mohican effect down his back.

Today is my sister's birthday but unfortunately she had to work so we haven't seen her, and tomorrow is my birthday. I'm not at work and the weather is supposed to stay good so it will be a lovely day.
