8 Good Reasons

Spent some quality time with the Reason 8 beta today, despite the headaches. It is an amazing leap interface and as an interface designer that interested me a lot. Not only the graphical style changes but the whole way the three main parts of the application work with each other. It is far easier to manage your screen-space and even with a 30" Apple Cinema Display and a 24" AOC IPS monitor Reason is the kind of application that needs good workspace management.
The browser which used to be slow and a real pain in the ass is now not only 'always on' but fully integrated with the other panels. Want a device, drag it from the device browser. Got the presets folder open in the browser? Drag a preset into the rack to create the device, tracks, and loaded preset. You can even drag presets onto running devices and the sound just changes.
