When I grow up....

Katie had a practice session for her solo today. During one of her breaks, she took herself off to the barre. She doesnt do barre work yet. But has watched the big girls a lot. I love the way she was looking at her feet in this shot and turned her supporting foot out just a bit more after looking. She has really come on with her solo and is getting more and more confident.

After her practice, we picked up a wee friend to come and play with us for the day. We headed to town to get Katie's birthday invitations printed and have lunch. We headed home & walked round to see our neighbours. We took cake and their immediate neighbour popped round with sweets for all the children so the children were well pleased. We all headed to the park in a combination of bikes, scooters and foot. We taught her wee friend to use the fireman's pole and Katie played with some friends from school. I took the girls home for tea (which was scoffed rather readily!) and they rejected the offer of Frozen in favour of a play upstairs and further dressing up! A definite "Dear Diary" moment!
