Walled Garden, Polesden Lacey

Today we had lunch at and visited the gardens at Polesden Lacey. This view shows a corner of the walled garden with Delphiniums in flower. The gardens and grounds cover a lage area and include separate rooms which was a feature of Arts and Crafts design. The main area has formal beds of different roses. There is also a kitchen garden and an area of cold frames. Free range chickens can also be seen to the north of the vegetable plots. It was a fairly hot day and I saw a number of Large White and Brimstone Butterflies.
