To the waterfall..

..the difficult way!!

Parking on the roadside opposite the telephone mast, we walked through the plantation to loch Allt na h-Airbhe. Then followed Allt nan Ramh across rough moorland until we could see the waterfall. There were plenty of smaller falls on the way, creating a gushing soundtrack to the afternoons walk. Deer were spotted on the horizon, and Tanni chased their scent on the numerous deer tracks. She gave up after a while and kept presenting me with heather stems to throw for her!

We didn't go all the way to the falls, but far enough to get a good impression of them. There is an easier route from Kylestrome on a proper track. Will do that some other time..

Weather was good, with only a spot or two when we were at our furthest from the car. Arriving back in Scourie to wet roads and damp washing on the line!
