Whoosh!

Am enjoying my forensic science course but some bits whoosh straight over my head. Put a few chemical formulae up and my brain turns to mush! I get the principle that you can work backwards to figure out blood alcohol levels based on an absorption rate but putting it like this really blows my mind.

Next week is the last week of the course and I will miss it - it has been really interesting. This week's assignment presented us with crime scene info and we had to decide if it was murder or suicide. I'll find out next week if I guessed right. My poor browsing history is looking totally dodgy now as I've been researching entry and exit bullet wounds and body cooling rates etc.!

The following week I start another MOOC but that was is for work so will not be as much fun. It is called Data to Insight so is meant to help you get the best management info from data through manipulation techniques. I'll need to do another fun one after that!

Haven't done much today as my disturbed night zapped all my energy. I went to bed after lunch for a few hours as I felt so rough. Am now going to have a nice read before I drift off for (what I hope is) a decent night's sleep.

Oh, and the boiler has packed up so it will be a case of boiling kettles tomorrow in order to have a wash. No nice showers to wake us up. Hope they can fix it tomorrow!
