Europe wins Ryder Cup

This is the moment that sparked amazing scenes on the 15th green as Europe won the Ryder Cup for the third time in a row.

I cannot believe we were in the Grandstand at the 15th green to witness the winning celebrations.

Rookie Jamie Donaldson played a shot worthy of winning any game of golf, let alone a Ryder Cup in front of 45,000 fanatical supporters. The fabulous approach shot prompted crazy scenes as cameramen, photographers, Jamie's wife and most of the jubilant European team went mad on the 15th green.

World No 1 Rory McIlroy led by example as Europe completed their mission in the singles to win the 40th Ryder Cup 16½-11½ against the United States.

What an amazing three days at Gleneagles. Three memorable days that I will never forget.
