SNOW SPEARS

I've been waiting for these buds to open. They've been like this for days. Now the snow has come - again - they'll probably close up tight until it's all over. I'd like to be able to do that too; curl up like a hibernating hedgehog.
Love hedgehogs.
Love snow too, but hate the afterslush.
