With this final spurt of summer that this weekend has kindly bought I ticked off one of the remaining NY summer bucket list items: go rowing in Central Park.

It was loads of fun and the lake is much larger than I realised. Afterwards we tried to go to the rooftop bar on the Metropolitan Museum but arrived just as it closed. That's both days this weekend that I've found myself exploring the upper east side.

This evening Alex and Morvern were cooking their flat a roast which I managed to persuade them to let me join. Absolutely delicious.
