#Flooding in #Pakistan : Emergency #Appeal

In recent weeks, flooding in Pakistan has swept away homes, possessions and livelihoods killing 450 men, women and children. Two million people are in desperate need of food, clean drinking water, shelter and medicines.

These photos were taken in Hafzabad where our team reports;

‘Some worst flood-affected villages in District Hafzabad where no relief agency is providing any food to the poor flood-affected people, whereas these poor people need food and tents on emergency basis.’

A massive crisis now facing those who have had their homes and possessions destroyed in the flooding is also the damage that has occurred to crops. IMPACT Pakistan reports; ‘The rice, maize and millet crops were almost close to harvesting before the arrival of these horrible flooding in the areas. These poor farming communities mostly rely on the seasonal produce of these crops, therefore they will face numerous problems associated to their survival in the absence of grains and money.’

It is impossible for IMPACT to reach everyone but a gift of any amount would make a real difference to 1,500 men, women and children whose homes have been destroyed in IMPACT’s project areas.

When disaster strikes in a region in which we are already working it is impossible to stand by and do nothing. We hope you feel the same. Please help.
