ceasar's monument
Today we went to visit Mr P's family in Kirkcudbright. I was in the car before I realised something was missing- the sun block!! I usually put on factor 50. Every time we go down the sun shines, altho we passed a few rain clouds on the way down.
We sat in the harbour- the boys eating fish suppers, and I munched on macaroni cheese - it was great. The 'boys' claimed that it was the best fish they had tasted- number 2 son tried lemon sole for the first time. My favourite school dinner was macaroni cheese, chips and carrots, with millionaires shortbread and custard - every Wednesday in 5th year - yum yum. Every other day it was a walk down to the local chippie.
This statue of Ceasar marks one of his favourite spots in the harbour. Ceasar was adopted as Kirkcudbright's Town Cat until he died in 2004. He spent a different part of each day in various shops/ businesses/ houses around Kirkcudbright harbour, was well fed, and had a bed in many places
I realised that I was in trouble after sitting in aunty's garden for about an hour. I moved seats. Aunty thought she had aftersun, and tried to get me to put on something with oil in it. I would have fried.
We once thought about moving down here, but looking at the prices, we would have to win the lottery. Maybe I should start buying a ticket.
