The Blue, Istanbul

On a glorious day like today it is easy to understand why Istanbulites refer to the gleaming Bosphorus as "The Blue" - so no Mono Monday for me (having had more than enough monotone weather over the weekend) on this day when the Bosphorus was iridescent in its blueness and using my super zoom on full, I am able to bring you Asia as seen from Europe, the old Ottoman naval college and the new(ish) bridge, all bathed in the glistening 'blue' - and all in one shot.

Other news: hurrah!  hurrah!  Elizabeth used the fire escape  (all four floors) to return to the apartment via the open window this afternoon.
