A Foggy Walk

A very pleasant blipmeet today with lumpysimon. We met at Pork Hill car park in thick fog - so there were no views anywhere! A walk over Barn Hill to Windy Post, Feather Tor, Heckwood Tor and Pew Tor. Only on returning to the car park did the fog start to lift. This photo is of Feather Tor. Lunch was at the Merrivale Inn which was unusually busy as they were undertaking the annual drift to bring in the Dartmoor Ponies. This involves checking them over and selecting a number for auction. Sadly these days from a financial point of view, they are not worth anything.
