Autumn Monday

Amplifying mist,
Scented with sweet turning leaves,
And weekend bonfires.
Final cadence of birdsong,
Pierced by a percussive train.

... a beautifully misty, cobwebby morning. I love the effect mist and fog have on the sounds and smells. Everything is at the same time muffled and heightened. I suppose the dampness of the air carries the sounds... I do like Autumn.
