Into the sky

KK was picked up this morning around 0700 as planned and taken to Glasgow Airport. I got word at about 1100 that she was fine and checked in ready to go. I found an app for my iPad and iPhone which allowed me to track her flight. The plane did cross the A7 a few miles south of Hawick on its journey before heading down to about Hull and out across the sea to the Netherlands and down through Europe. Christine and Ben came home and Ben was fascinated by the app so had to download it to his Mum's Huddle.

When I took this picture of tonight's sunset, KK was somewhere above Iran, having taken a detour to avoid Syria and Iraq. I have now watched the plane land at Dubai where it will leave from again tomorrow morning. KK is to be fed here and of course hopefully she had had her water dish topped up as required during the journey. I do hope she was able to settle down and sleep for most of the journey, she is rather good at sleeping.
