Lunchbreak

We drove over to Richmond this morning to look at National Trust property Ham House. After a coffee and a look around the gardens, and since the house was not yet open, we walked the 1.25 miles into Richmond alongside the river. We had not appreciate that the walk alongside the river floods DAILY, according this lady sitting on the bench. I spoke to her, after I had captured her pose!

She is wearing red, but I rather fancied this is monocrome. The path is a bit messy, evidence that the river and its debris had overflowed just a few hours before.

A leisurely lunch, glass of wine, then walked back to Ham House. By this point I was feeling weary, so never did inside the house! Another time.
