The official crazyish birthday pose

Here the birthday boy of today, Pirkka 30 years, with his hands up for victory. Paula and Petri are really feeling the excitement of the day, but Muru the dog is taking it easy, as always.

Pirkka turned ten on the same day that MS Estonia sank 20 years ago - a terrible tragedy that everyone still remembers. I do not know if Pirkka feels that mentioning this in connection with his birthday is such a high point, but it always comes to my mind that when I was going to congratulate Pirkka and wake him up for school, I turned my head when I heard on the morning TV show that a ship had sunk a few hours earlier with hundreds of people still missing.

Pirkka wanted to have a nice steak with some redwine sauce with it, so that was the menu for the birthday lunch for all of us, except me of course. It was a very nice, relaxed Sunday afternoon with all the kids there, plus Esa, the grandmother and A of course as well!
