A silver lining ..

Mum had such a late night that she was still asleep when my alarm went off, so I left her for an extra hour and decided I had to miss my bird group.

The cleaner/carer was due and in theory (!) meals on wheels were ordered, so I decided to take advantage of the cover and went out with my camera in the afternoon.

After a long wait, the kingfishers (male and female in turn) visited and we got quite a few shots.
