These boots were made for walking
And that's just what they'll do!
I handed in my notice at one of my jobs today. It's saddened me as I've worked there since it opened 3 years ago and I have built a great relationship with the staff and my patients.
But, in that time, I've gone from full time to half a day a week, and had my hours/days chopped and changed shamelessly in-between.
I've been trying to glean back a full day there, as appointments are now fully booked into November, so the demand is there.
After speaking with one of the Partners, it became apparent that this wasn't going to happen, so I've accepted a job elsewhere for the same (whole) day.
Although I'm self employed, I've agreed to work a months notice. I've had a couple of regular patients in today who were really upset at my news & vowed to follow me to the new place!
Whether they will remains to be seen, but I'm getting a reputation at work in a good way.....I had a patient travel all the way from Bradford to see me yesterday!
Another patient who I saw yesterday, emailed my Boss to sing my praises. This is someone who is notoriously difficult (patient...not Boss) so it's a massive compliment.
So today has been a mixed bag of emotions....let's see what tomorrow will bring!
