Taker of photos, c, on our walk along Haweswater. We were both eager to see the half sunken church at the the far end but it turns out that's a different reservoir. The vague outlines of some walls just weren't as exciting. Dad got sore feet so uncle D managed to hitch a ride back to the car once we got to the other end and we all went for lunch in the Haweswater hotel on our drive back. Beautiful 1930s decor but knowing that road led to nowhere, and that a village used to lie where the reservoir now rests, it all felt a little too hotel californiary for me!
