A looong drive and a Welcome Home

I was on Heathrow duty today... M was arriving home from a trip back to her home land. Due to the snow yesterday it was a very early start... I was supposed to be heading down to Surrey to stay the night at relatives but as it wasn't good to travel I got the 4.45am start instead. I checked M's flight brfore leaving and had a minor panic that it was 5.15 and Heathrow website was saying her flight was due in 35 mins early at 6.15... I was looking at a sprint to Heathrow... in the snow! However It was a clear run and I arrived in time without breaking any limits to meet her as she arrived into arrivals, though M wasn't well. :-(

So from an early start and M not being well I started a long journey to deliver her back home in the North we made good time from meeting at 7.20, stopping for breakfast at Oxford Services on the M40, coffee at home and then a final coffee at Woodhall we finally made it to M's a total of 315ish miles later (from set off at home) in the early afternoon. After the usual back home from holiday routine and dinner in the evening tiredness and the travelling hit us both and retiring to bed at 9 was the last order of the day.

I am very fond of M... we occasionally don't see eye to eye but its usually on the fact that I am not the most organised of people and I am reluctant to get rid of things! But when we do spend time together and do lovely things we do have a great time. I have had to work hard at our relationship but it has been worth it and I wouldn't be without her in my life.

You see M is special for 1 very significant reason... without M... there wouldn't be the lovely R.. you just gotta love her heaps for that!!!!!

I bought these flowers for M at Oxford services as a welcome home present... and thought they would be a nice blip for the day.
