Hang on..
This was just about to latch onto Tanni's eyelid. Nasty little things. This one was less than 1 mm across, tiny.. And thought we were coming to the end of the tick season..
I thought I could identify two species, but checking on-line, not so sure now. I removed around 50 from the cats and dog this year, some when quite small, but most are large, have fed, and are engorged with blood. They can increase in size from less than 1 mm to over 10 mm.. Most carry disease. Luckily G and me haven't had any this year..
Lovely day now after 16 mm overnight. Time to tidy the polytunnel and plant up some winter salads..
Music, perfect timing on this video, watch it to the end..
