The Solitary Sunflower...
...Just as I thought summer was finally over, a glorious sunflower blinked in the sunshine of this afternoon.
It was in a top corner of a sheltered field that had been ploughed up, a little bit off the beaten track and in a small patch of wild rough. Pheasants flapped noisily as I approached.
Lens is Tamron SP 70-300mm VC
What a difference this glorious sunny image will (most probably!) be to tomorrow's DERELICT THURSDAY Challenge tomorrow.
As always, the subject is open to anything that could be construed as derelict. Though my ruins of yesterday probably wouldn't count as they are very much manicured and looked-after ruins!
Please tag all entries "derelict Thursday". That's all you need to do - no need to inform me or write in the forum. Week #1, Week #2
BUT, please do mention somewhere in your text that the entry is part of the Challenge - thanks!
