Alone at the Seaside

Just when you have the feeling “this is where we are living”, we are on the move to experience that from another side. Arriving and moving out and over to the Other Side. It will still remain even when we will stay for longer periods in our Carlsheaven Home. Today we had an early train to the West. The connexion with five others did work and so finally we arrived “rather early” in our Seasideappartment. A bit tired, but there was tea at the small balcony in the sun.

Then I cycled up into the dunes to have my “eternal Thalassa”-moment. On a dune top with blinking eyes stepping off and walking to the fence through the thick green beach grasses. Taking a deep breath and looking around from the North to the South. There you are uplifted into this immense space with the sea all over below. And that half round horizon with a big ferryboat. The beach nearly empty with only a few walkers. A last catamaran with a yellow green sail.

Still feeling the train journey noise in my head, walking down the beach you could see the end of season nearing. The terrace of the beachclub being broken down. The last weekend coming. Within a week from now the beach will be barren again until March. Such a blessing to walk at the surfline at low tide. A few gulls tripping on the watch for a tasty catch. Against the glittering sunlight I saw one Gull, symbolizing my way of reuniting with the surging waters. Then I dashed into the clear & salty surf, washing out the fatigue and the noisy train journey.
