Border crossing
Post - referendum and we're still part of the UK. Our Scottish banknotes, however, are not legal tender (it's true, look it up) and when travelling abroad, they're often not accepted for currency exchange. So today I crossed into England and brought back some banknotes with the Queen's head on them for D to take to Ethiopia on Friday.
It was a beautiful afternoon as I sped east on the train to Carlisle. I used my Railcard for the first time and was pleased that noone questioned the '16-25' printed on the tickets..
