Morning light......

I was up earlier than usual today. I usually try and stay out of the way until the mayhem has subsided, but today I was wide awake and in need of a cup of tea at around 6.30
This was the view out of the window
It was not quite light and it was raining. The glow of the street lamp on the damp plants and the glistening street caught my eye. While I was trying to capture that, cars started to go by and I ended up trying to catch the movement of their lights.
I'm not sure I've caught either particularly well, but it has the feel of autumn to it I think.
By 8 o'clock the sun was shining again
The hanging baskets and indeed all the floral displays along the street have lasted well this year.
Maybe winter won't seem so long, as summer seems reluctant to leave for once.
