This is from the front of the Scottish Parliament, near the old public entrance. I've been past many times but never noticed it before.
Robert Adam is a well kent name; the architect of Charlotte Square and various other landmarks of 18th century Edinburgh. However, the credit for this 20th century landmark belongs to Robert Adam, aged 14 from Cushnie in Aberdeenshire, who won a competition in 2005. Great closing line.
