Boat out for winter, end of an era
We had the boat craned out on to its trailer for winter storage. It is particularly sad this year as we, the consortium, have decided to put it up for sale "since we don't use it enough", so the deed is done. We have put it on the books of The Bosun's Locker, the chandlers at Port Edgar marina. We have owned it for 20 years, and enjoyed it. I had thought with us all now retired we would use it more, but folk are doing so many other things now, and not tied to locality by jobs, so we aren't using it much. I was against the sale, but have to go with the majority. It isn't worth much so we won't make anything much from the sale, but we save on expenses (which are reasonable to share, but quite a lot on your own, not to mention responsibility - or I would have bought it out and kept it myself).
